DIN 24255

Vertical Centrifugal Pumps

ACV • HCV • VXV

Materials

  • The standard materials of construction for pumps series ACV are the following: pump in cast iron G 25; shaft in carbon steel or AISI 420; column, discharge piping, plate and lantern in carbon steel.
  • For HCV and VXV pumps, material are chosen on the basis of their compatibility with pumped fluids.
  • These pumps could be manufactured of stainless steel or other special alloys.
  • Bolts and nuts are always made of stainless steel.

Applications

  • AVC pumps are used in most industries, for irrigation and for general services to lift clean or slightly dirty waters, providing they are compatible with cast iron and carbon steel.
  • HCV and VXV pumps cover a wide range of applications in the chemical and process industries and are used to transfer clean or slightly dirty (HCV) and dirty (VXV) liquids, acid waters, various chemical products and lube-oil.
  • The temperature limits for the standard execution are 100°C for water and 160°C for liquids with very low vapor pressure values.
  • For higher temperatures or pressurized volatile fluids, it is necessary to use round supporting plates and proper sealing devices.
